The Director of Sales position is
responsible for the identification, management, and closure of customer sales
for the company.In addition, this
position oversees Marketing activities to ensure the Company is correctly
positioned within the industry. This
position will commence as a contract position.Following a 3-6 month trial period, a permanent employment offer may be
tendered to the candidate following mutual agreement.
Responsibilities:
Development and implementation of competitive global
sales and marketing strategies that meet corporate objectives.
Assess the impact regulatory and statutory
requirements have on the sales process.
Management of the sales process for identifying and
closing customer sales.
Develop and maintain intelligence on all competitive products
as well as implement strategies to counter competitive product offerings.
Validation of technology approach in the market
place.
Internal/External Interface:
Internal:All
functions with respect to sales and marketing activities.
External:Customers,
PR agencies, news media, government entities, and others as required.
Authority:
This position shall exercise the authority necessary
to ensure the closure of global customer sales.
This position shall be responsible for the employment
of staff within the functions managed.
This position shall be responsible for establishing
sales programs and tools for use by the company’s sales & marketing personnel
in the performance of their duties.
This position shall coordinate with news media to
ensure best possible corporate image for the company.
Education:
BS in related field (ME, EE, IE, or BA)
MBA desired.
Experience:
20 years of corporate sales experience in a relevant
and rapid paced environment.
5 years in an emerging company environment.
10 years in a senior sales management role.
Prefer a minimum of 5 years of experience in the wind,
solar, or power production industries.
