Application Engineer Analog and Power Simulation

The employer is located in Portland, OR.

The Project/Application Engineer will be responsible for on time development of simulation models for sophisticated analog and power management ICs. He or she will keep customer projects on track and resolve technical problems in a pro-active and timely manner.

Qualified candidates should possess the following:

·         BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Physics

·         Experience in modeling of IC’s and application circuits with SPICE based or similar simulation tools (Knowledge of SIMetrix/SIMPLIS and/or other simulation tools is a plus)

·         Solid knowledge of analog/mixed signal and/or power management circuit design and analysis

·         Good understanding of power systems, including controller ICs for DC/DC and AC/DC power conversion

·         A working understanding of semiconductor devices such as MOSFETs, Bi-polar Transistors and IGBTs

·         Modeling experience in other fields such as electro-mechanical systems, magnetic components, or RF&MW is a plus

·         Very good verbal and written communication skills

·         Good people skills and a common sense approach to solving customers problems

Experience and proven track record in a field application engineering role would be a plus
